EXTENDED GENERAL PRACTICE
The purpose of the extended general practice is to enable General Practice and the health system as a whole to become more effective, sustainable and ultimately beneficial.
URGENT CARE SERVICES
The establishment of an urgent care centre would help address after-hours services sustainability, provide a facility for RSE workers to receive their health care and provide acute cover for the other non- New Zealand workers and visitors to the district. It could also guide non enrolled individuals to enroll in a general practice within Marlborough.
Patients requiring urgent care, including anyone who is not a permanent resident or enrolled with a GP, may visit the centre between 8am -8pm, seven days a week.
